Recreation and Entertainment
There was not a lot of recreation and entertainment back then because they focused on Christianity and on education. They did have what was called the hippodrome. It was located in the center of the city. The hippodrome was almost like the colosseum. It held chariot races and other activities as well. However, the hippodrome did not held gladiator fights or anything that involved death even though chariot racers did occasionally die. Otherwise, there was not a lot of recreation or entertainment.
